We've been so excited about Cheri winning AIADA's Dealer of the Year that we haven't had time to catch you up with everything else we're doing. Here's some of what we've been up to:

Supporting our Only Local Hospital

Do you know how important it is to have a local hospital?

Fact is, we have only one emergency room here in Santa Clarita. It also serves over 600 square miles. It has a big job to do, and we're here to help them do it. Which is why recently I played in the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Drive Safe Golf Classic.

Last year, the "Drive Safe" Golf Classic netted over $250,000 to benefit Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. This year, we helped them put in a new emergency room.

I was proud to be part of this event, because all the benefits from the Drive Safe Golf Classic go directly to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. Henry Mayo Newhall is our only local hospital not owned by a large corporation. It's been a part of our community since the beginning, and its health is up to us.

For the Kids

You always hear that. "For the kids. Do it for the kids."

In this case, it really is. The Santa Clarita Boys and Girls Club helps our kids make the most of their lives. Whether it's acting classes, management training, arts and crafts, or just some help with homework, over 1500 kids rely on the Boys and Girls Club. These programs are wonderful for working parents.

Cheri and I co-chaired the Boys and Girls Club auction this year. This is such a big event that it has to be held outside. Last year, we netted $515,000 for the Boys and Girls Club.

For every child, discovering their full potential is a matter of opportunity. The Boys and Girls Club helps give them this opportunity.
